In geometry, coaxial means that two or more forms share a common axis. A coaxial cable, as a common example, has a wire conductor in the centre, a circumferential outer conductor, and an insulating medium separating these two conductors.

Therefore a CHE (Coaxial Heat Exchanger) is a pipe consisting of two pipes - an inner pipe and an outer pipe.

The AMASOND corrugated pipe is a pipe out of PE material which has a wavelike shape. The corrugated structure has many advantages compared to a plain structure. Mainly the heat transfer from soil into brine is enhanced, therefore the efficiency of the system is maximized. Also important to note is, that the stability of the whole pipe is improved.

An Energy Geoexchange Basket is an in-between of horizontal and vertical heat exchangers.

Energy piles are piles, slotted walls and other similar underground construction components that are used for geothermal heating. The AMASOND corrugated pipe is inserted in the underground construction component.

Geothermal power (from the Greek roots geo, meaning earth, and thermos, meaning heat) is power extracted from heat stored in the earth. This geothermal energy originates from the original formation of the planet, from radioactive decay of minerals, and from solar energy absorbed at the surface.

The AMASOND system uses the heat of soil layers up to a depth of 40 meters, which is mainly residual heat coming from sun, wind, and rain.

In systems engineering, modular design — or "modularity in design" — is an approach that subdivides a system into smaller parts (modules) that can be independently created and then used in different systems to drive multiple functionalities. Besides reduction in cost and flexibility in design, modularity offers other benefits such as augmentation (adding new solution by merely plugging in a new module), and exclusion.
